Welcome Statement
Welcome!

Welcome to the fourth Marshbanks GRC Hunt Test. We have a large number of entries so we will all have to work together to get it done in an appropriate and fair manner for all the dogs as well as their handlers.

We have asked the marshals to “run through” any dogs in Junior or Senior who have handlers with multiple dogs in the Master, sometimes as many as 9, so you can see how gridlock can quickly occur.

Please respect the use of hotels, campgrounds, private and public lands. Please be considerate when airing dogs, as well as picking up all trash (including cigarette butts). We are fortunate to be able to use this property and need your cooperation. Keep to the driving two tracks or stay near the driving paths into and out of the fields where tests will be held. We want to be able to use this land again.

Please drive or park only in designated areas.

Remember cell phones, beepers, and pagers will not be allowed in the gallery or near the line. These have the potential to significantly disturb the working dog and handler. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, please leave these in your vehicle.

A special thank you to all the folks: Hunt Test Committee, Marshals, Coordinators, Hospitality, gunners, bird boys, and everyone who volunteered to work and support the Hunting Tests this weekend. We are sure you will be courteous to our Marshals and Coordinators as well as to the Judges who graciously gave their time and expertise to assist with this event. Volunteer help is always appreciated.

If there are any questions, please ask the Marshals.

Most of all, have fun!

Best regards and Good Luck,
Al Hogan, Chairman
and the Marshbanks 2008 Hunt Test Committee

Good Luck to All!
